Tata Curvv Could Offer These 5 Features Over Citroen Basalt

Two new mass-market SUV coupes are making their way to Indian roads: the Tata Curvv and the Citroen Basalt. The Tata Curvv is set to debut on August 7 in its electric avatar, while the Citroen Basalt marks Citroen’s fifth product in the Indian market. Although both automakers have not fully disclosed details about their latest products, recent teasers have provided some insights. Here are five features the Tata Curvv is expected to offer over the Citroen Basalt.

1. Bigger Screens

The Tata Curvv will feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, both borrowed from the Nexon EV. In contrast, the Citroen Basalt is expected to come with a 10.2-inch infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver's display. If you prefer larger screens, the Tata Curvv will better suit your needs.

2. Panoramic Sunroof

The unveiling of the Tata Curvv confirmed that it will include a panoramic sunroof, a feature that enhances the cabin experience. There has been no indication of a sunroof, even a single-pane unit, in the teasers for the Citroen Basalt.

3. Premium Speakers

The Tata Curvv is expected to come with a 9-speaker system, including a subwoofer, likely provided by JBL, a feature already present in other Tata models like the Harrier and Safari. The Citroen Basalt, on the other hand, is anticipated to have a non-branded audio system.

4. Ventilated Seats

Ventilated front seats, useful during peak summer seasons, are expected in the Tata Curvv. Tata already offers this feature in most of its SUVs, including the Punch EV, Nexon, Safari, and Harrier, making it likely for the Curvv duo as well. The Citroen Basalt is likely to miss this feature.

5. ADAS

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are expected in the Tata Curvv, as confirmed by various spy shots. The Curvv might include features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, forward collision warning and blind spot view monitor. The Citroen Basalt is not expected to feature any ADAS technology.

Expected Price and Rivals

Both the SUV coupes will serve as stylish alternatives to compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate.
