Skoda has announced that Kodiaq vRS will be available in the UK after starting sales at dealers. This performance SUV is available in the regions with a starting price of around £45,255 (almost Rs. 48 lahks) and a top variant cost of £47,716 (nearly Rs. 50.71 lahks).
Unique among the model's features are DCC Plus Dynamic Chassis Control for the state-of-the-art auto and all-wheel drive integrated at the Kodiaq vRS.
This is the second generation Skoda Kodiaq release, unveiled in India with a unique attraction at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo. The new model, based on the MQB needs, has become slightly larger than its predecessor.
Performance And Engine Specifications
It promises a 2.0-liter four-cylinder powerful turbocharger engine- the heart of the Kodiaq vRS that pumps out 265 horses and 20 bhp more than the current Kodiaq vRS model. This turbo-power mill gives a whopping 400Nm, which is the most one has on a burning Skoda model today. It will pass power using a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a 4x4 transaxle system.
Chassis and Handling
The vRS version of the Kodiaq has a stiffer setup of the so-called remedy parts in comparison with the Comfort or Style models. It comes equipped with DCC Plus, which stands for Dynamic Chassis Control, a system that optimizes the damping for 15 settings that range from comfort to sporty. This feature is intended to be dynamic and optimally damper-controlled. It offers good running performance either with little contact with the suspension bushings or after very stiff wheel damping.
The front and rear brake discs are ventilated, and the front axle has much more significant, two-piston calipers, providing more excellent braking.
However, given that there are 20 wheels on a 4X4 at just over 2t, a more conservative person might choose not to spend this much on a class of car that can be easily ruined. In essence, the Skoda Kodiaq vRS can be termed as a high-riding AWD Golf R.
Conclusion
With such an intense configuration, tailoring the car for elegance would involve the loss of its main character. Loss of what makes it different – joy in driving – is unacceptable for a sporty vehicle. An overtake can be executed quickly while a direct shift is awaited. The perikaryal route times are very quick.
