Skoda Enyaq RS Facelift Unveils as High-Performance Flagship

Skoda has finally unveiled the Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupe RS, giving its electric SUV range a sporty kick and visual flair. Unveiled barely months after the regular Enyaq facelift, the RS models take their place as the performance-benchmark EVs of the Czech carmaker's international line.

Power and Performance Enhancements

The RS pair gets a major power boost, with both variants producing 340 hp—a considerable jump from the 286 hp of the AWD versions of the regular Enyaq Coupe. This increased power allows for a quick 0–100kph time of 5.4 seconds, 1.3 seconds quicker than their regular counterparts.

Beneath the floor, the vehicles are equipped with a new 84kWh battery (an increase from the 63kWh and 82kWh batteries available before), bestowing the Enyaq RS with a WLTP-certified range of 562km, while the Coupe RS pushes slightly further at 568km.

Charging speed is also impressive:

  • DC fast charging to 185kW (10–80% in 26 minutes)

  • AC charging on an 11kW (full charge in 8 hours)

Exterior: Sporty and Sleek with RS Flair

Styling-wise, the RS models feature unique blacked-out details:

  • Skoda and RS badges

  • Mirror caps and window trims

  • Redesigned front bumper winglets

  • 20-inch alloys as standard (21-inch optional)

  • A bold Mamba Green colour reserved for RS versions

Although sportier in appearance, these tweaks have raised the drag coefficients slightly – 0.251 for the Enyaq RS and 0.239 for the Coupe RS, making them slightly less aerodynamically efficient than their non-RS siblings.

Interior: Dual Personality with RS Lounge and RS Suite

Skoda has provided the RS interiors with a dual personality through two distinct trim options:

  • RS Lounge: Suedia microfibre and faux leather with lime green stitching

  • RS Suite: Leather and faux leather with subtle grey stitching

Both interiors feature:

  • 3-spoke RS steering wheel

  • Sports seats with integrated headrests

  • Massage function for the driver's seat

Additional comfort and technology features are identical to the run-of-the-mill Enyaq range, so the RS versions maintain comfort while bolstering luxury.

Final Thoughts

With aggressive performance specs, keen styling, and a more powerful battery, Skoda Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupe RS appeal to EV consumers who want a mix of sophistication, tech, and performance. Slightly less aerodynamic but with improved driving dynamics and striking design, they have a unique attraction in the emerging premium electric SUV market.
