Renault India has kicked off FY2027 in a confident fashion. The company posted domestic wholesale sales of 5,413 units in April 2026, more than doubling the 2,602 units it moved in April 2025. That translates to a year-on-year growth of 108.03 per cent and a volume addition of 2,811 units.

On a month-on-month basis, sales also improved by 7.27 per cent over the 5,046 units recorded in March 2026.

A Strengthened Line-Up Behind the Surge

The numbers do not come as a complete surprise when one looks at what Renault has been doing over the past several months. The launch of the new-generation Triber and the Kiger in September 2025 set off a run of sustained double-digit growth for the brand.

Both models have continued to draw consistent buyer interest, and their contribution to the monthly tally has been meaningful. The newly launched Duster then added a fresh layer of excitement, with deliveries commencing in the latter half of April and demand reportedly picking up from the very first week.

Two petrol engines are on offer, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol producing 99 hp and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol developing 161 hp, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a DCT automatic gearbox.

Strong Hybrid E-Tech Variant Expected Around Diwali 2026

Base variant deliveries are underway, though the Strong Hybrid E-Tech model has not yet commenced deliveries. That variant is expected to reach customers around Diwali 2026, and initial allocations are reportedly already fully booked in major cities, pointing to considerable pent-up demand.

Network Expansion to Keep Pace with Rising Demand

Alongside its product push, Renault India has been steadily widening its retail and after-sales presence. During April, the company inaugurated a new R store and a workshop in Ranchi.

Overall, its total sales and service touchpoints have now grown to 638 locations across the country. The brand expects its market response to grow even stronger in the months ahead as Duster volumes ramp up and the hybrid variant enters the picture.
