Renault India has announced the fuel efficiency of the Duster Hybrid at 29 kmpl, ahead of its launch on October 17, 2026. The upcoming SUV will introduce Renault's E-Tech strong-hybrid technology to India and become the third powertrain option in the new-generation Duster range.

Bookings for the Renault Duster Hybrid opened on October 9 for a token amount of ₹21,000. The company has also indicated that the hybrid version is sold out for the current calendar year, despite prices yet to be announced.

Renault Duster Hybrid mileage and powertrain

The Renault Duster Hybrid uses the E-Tech 160 strong-hybrid system, which combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery pack. The system produces a stated output of 160 bhp and 172 Nm of torque.

The hybrid setup uses a multi-mode automatic transmission to manage power from the petrol engine and electric motors. It can also operate on electric power under suitable driving conditions.

The battery recharges while driving through the hybrid system, including energy recovered during deceleration. This means the Duster Hybrid does not require an external charging point.

Its ARAI-certified mileage of 29 kmpl is the official fuel-efficiency figure. Actual mileage may vary depending on traffic, road conditions and driving style.

Renault Duster Hybrid Booking Details

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine is available with a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The E-Tech 160 hybrid will add a petrol-electric powertrain to this range. Its confirmed specifications include a 1.8-litre petrol engine, two electric motors, a 1.4kWh battery and an ARAI-certified mileage of 29kmpl.

Renault is scheduled to launch the Duster Hybrid on October 17, when its price is expected to be announced.
