Old, Dented Toyota Fortuner Resto-Modded in Gulf Racing Theme Looks Smashing
We've seen numerous Fortuner modifications, including Lexus kit upgrades, Legender conversions, and generation changes. Today, we’ll cover an exceptional Fortuner mod featuring a unique theme along with the classy Lexus touch. This project, showcased on YouTube by the popular automotive workshop Autorounders, demonstrates a remarkable transformation.
The car started as an accidental Type 2 Fortuner, requiring extensive restoration and repainting. The customer chose to give the car a makeover by opting for a Lexus kit along with a distinctive exterior color combination. The vehicle had suffered significant damage from the accident, with the entire front profile of the SUV destroyed.
The standout feature of this Fortuner is its color combination—light blue with bright orange—reminiscent of Gulf Racing cars. The entire body is painted blue with an orange stripe running from the bonnet to the tailgate. Additional sleek orange lines adorn the front bumper, doors, and rear bumper. The OEM alloy wheels are painted black with orange hub caps, complementing the overall theme. Round white stickers with the number 6 add to the racing aesthetic.
The Lexus kit, which fits directly without the need for fabrication, includes:
Front bumper
Grille
Headlights
Fog lamps
Taillights
Rear bumper
The video from Autorounders details the meticulous work process, starting with stripping down parts, repairing, painting, and finally assembling the SUV to achieve its final look. This is the first car they have done in the Gulf Racing theme, and all paint materials used are imported from Germany.
The cabin's theme was updated to match the exterior, featuring a light blue and black theme with orange inserts. Highlights include:
Orange-bordered door pads
Multiple orange elements throughout the cabin
Custom-made suede seat covers following the blue and orange theme
The video beautifully captures the final look of the car with cinematic shots in the mountains, showcasing the Toyota Fortuner in its true essence.
