Nissan India To Launch New Car On 4th Oct 2024 – Magnite Facelift?

Nissan India has announced the launch of a new car on October 4, 2024, and it is widely speculated to be the Nissan Magnite facelift. The Magnite, a popular sub-4-meter SUV, has consistently delivered sales of around 2,500 units per month, and the facelift is expected to bring new cosmetic and feature upgrades to enhance its appeal.

Cosmetic Touch-Ups Expected

The Nissan Magnite already boasts an attractive and dynamic design, one of the key reasons behind its consistent performance since its launch in 2020. The facelift is expected to feature minor cosmetic changes, primarily to the lighting elements, front and rear bumpers, and new alloy wheels. Additionally, new color options could be introduced to freshen up its look.

Feature Upgrades in the Facelift

The current Nissan Magnite is already equipped with a range of impressive features for its price point, including:

For the facelift, Nissan is likely to introduce an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system (possibly larger than the current 8-inch unit), along with an updated digital instrument cluster. Additional features like a single-pane sunroof and ventilated front seats are also possibilities. The interior may receive updated seat fabrics and door trims to improve the cabin ambience.

Safety and Powertrain Options

The current Nissan Magnite holds a 4-star NCAP safety rating and is ranked among the safest SUVs in its category. It comes with standard safety features like:

It's unclear whether the facelift will introduce additional safety features, but it is expected to continue offering the same 1.0-litre NA petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine options. The engines may receive tweaks for improved efficiency and heat management. Transmission options will likely remain the same, with a 5-speed MT, 5-speed AMT (EZ-Shift) for the NA petrol, and a 5-speed MT and CVT for the turbo petrol unit.

Pricing and Availability

With these updates, the Nissan Magnite facelift is expected to see a price hike of around 5-10%, with the current model starting at Rs 5.99 lakh. Nissan aims to maintain its competitive pricing while offering new and improved features to keep the Magnite a popular choice in the sub-4-meter SUV segment.
