Kia Seltos, which was the first car by the brand to enter India, is preparing its largest update. The second-generation model, which has been spied on the Indian roads several times, is expected to arrive sometime in November 2025. The more recent spy shots display the SUV with a lot of camouflage but still with matte black alloy wheels and they have a telling geometry.
The SUV is shown to be taking on a more box-like stature, which is similar to the newest Santa Fe and Carnival. It has a flat bonnet, straighter side profile, blackened pillars, cosmetic roof rails and thick wheel-arch cladding that further modify its bold appearance. These new LED DRL signatures, enlarged grille, and redesigned fog lamp pods may easily be seen at the front.
The interior is tipped to resemble that of the Kia Syros EV, full of elements of the Trinity Panoramic Display. This installation includes a 12.3-inch infotainment display, and a 5-inch touchscreen control of the climate system.
On the premium end, buyers will get ventilated front and rear seats, dual-zone temperature, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, fancy sound system, Kia Connect, and a new D-Cut steering wheel.
Kia can also feature Level-2 ADAS and six airbags as part of its standard equipment, thus it is safer than before.
The powertrain lineup will probably remain the same at the beginning of sales, and these will be three 1.5L popular engines options in the range, including a NA aspirated gasoline, turbo-gasoline, and turbo-diesel.
Nevertheless, Kia is also considering a hybrid propulsion system using 1.5L NA petrol with a view of introducing it at a later stage as it is currently experiencing increasing popularity of electrified SUVs.
The new-gen Kia Seltos should be a further step towards this trend as it has a more aggressive design, black alloy wheels, a high-tech interior, and enhanced safety. Official kickoff is slated to be in November 2025 and a 2026 market entry.
