Honda Car India is gearing up for the launch of the next-generation Amaze, set to debut on December 4, 2024. As anticipation builds, the first spy shots of the all-new Amaze testing on Indian roads have surfaced. These exclusive images and details reveal exciting updates to the sedan’s design, features, and platform, ensuring it remains a strong contender in its segment.
The 2024 Honda Amaze introduces a more mature and premium design language, borrowing elements from its siblings, the Honda City and Honda Elevate.
Spotted in Obsidian Blue, the test model showcases an all-new exterior design. Up front, the Amaze features distinctive LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a large hexagonal grille, and a redesigned LED foglamp unit. The bonnet now includes twin power bulges, adding a dynamic touch reminiscent of the Elevate.
From the side, the silhouette remains similar to the outgoing model, but the addition of new 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels enhances its visual appeal. At the rear, the Amaze sports a shorter boot lid with LED taillamps inspired by the Honda City, giving the sedan a wider and more sophisticated stance. Minimal chrome accents further amplify the premium aesthetic, making the Amaze a head-turner in its segment.
While the spy shots focus on the exterior, Honda has teased the interior layout, which borrows heavily from the Elevate. The next-gen Amaze will feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, semi-leatherette beige upholstery, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Additional premium features include automatic climate control, a wireless charger, an electric sunroof, and a new three-spoke steering wheel.
For tech-savvy buyers, the top-spec ZX variant is expected to include ADAS with camera-based systems, enhancing safety and convenience.
The 2024 Honda Amaze will ride on Honda City’s Global Small Car Platform, offering a sturdier and more refined driving experience. However, it will retain its trusted 1.2-liter petrol engine producing 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
Slated for a December 4 launch, the new Amaze is expected to be priced between ₹8.8 lakh and ₹13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With its revamped design, enhanced features, and Honda’s reputation for reliability, the next-gen Amaze is poised to make a big splash in India’s sedan market.
