How will the New system work?

The year's toll pass: For a whole year, holders of this pass, which costs INR 3,000 one-time, are entitled to unlimited travel on national roads and expressways.
Toll Pass for Life: By demanding a one-time payment of INR 30,000, the 15-year-valid Lifetime Toll Pass would do away with the necessity for frequent toll payments.
According to reports, these passes will be included into the present FASTag system, allowing for a smooth transition without the need for further hardware or costs.

Current Toll System vs New Toll System

For highway travelers, a monthly toll pass now costs around INR 340, while an annual pass costs INR 4,080. Because these permits are only valid at one toll plaza, they are less useful for regular travelers. Removing this limitation will make the planned lifetime and annual toll passes more viable, allowing for easy and unimpeded access to all toll roads across the country.
