New Skoda Kodiaq Launched at Rs 46.89 Lakh

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has finally unveiled the long-awaited second-generation Skoda Kodiaq, effectively bringing an upgrade to one of its luxurious SUVs.

Starting price for the 2024 Kodiaq is Rs 46.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Sportline trim and Rs 48.69 lakh for the top-spec Laurin & Klement (L&K), which aims at providing a good blend of style, sophistication, and versatility.

Mature Design, Premium Appeal

The updated Kodiaq has an even more refined design, nevertheless retaining its overbearing stance. The notable features include a large butterfly grille with an integrated LED light strip, Crystallinium LED headlamps with a welcome function, and large alloy wheels that enhance its commanding presence.

The Sportline trim goes glossy black with its sporty gloss black accents, while the chrome treatment of the deep, dark scheme of the L&K trim is pure elegance.

There are six exterior colours, with Bronx Gold exclusive to L&K and Steel Grey exclusive to Sportline, adding much-desired appeal to either of the variants.

Luxury-Loaded Cabin with Latest Tech

Get inside, and the Kodiaq feels like a luxury product indeed, worthy of all its price tag aspirations. The Sportline gets an all-black sporty interior, while L&K is treated to plush Cognac leather upholstery. A massive 12.9-inch touchscreen, digital cockpit, and smart rotary dials for climate control give a very futuristic look to this cabin.

When we talk about the features, ventilated Ergo seats with pneumatic massage function, panoramic sunroof, a 13-speaker full-DSP Canton audio system, multi-zone climate control, and rolling rear sunblinds. The safety is top-notch in the sense that we have 9 airbags and noise-insulated glass.

Powertrain, Performance & Dimensions

The new Kodiaq is based on the MQB37 platform and is powered by a 2.0L TSI petrol engine rated at 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, basically running mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic with an AWD system. Claimed mileage is 14.86 km/l.

With the Kodiaq's length measuring 4,758 mm and a wheelbase of 2,791 mm, enter aboard and enjoy. 281L of boot space with all seats up flexibly extends to 1,976L with rear seats folded.

With that, the 2024 Kodiaq stands out as Skoda's flagship SUV in India; it is now way more luxurious, capable, and family-friendly than ever before.
