MG Windsor Pro Launch Confirmed for May 6 – More Range, Smarter Tech, and Pro-Level Comfort

Shortly before the much-awaited official launch on May 06, 2025, of the MG Windsor Pro, which is India's best-selling EV, it has undergone a major upgrade. JSW MG Motor India, under this new avatar, now aims to push limits about what will be deemed affordable electric vehicles longer range, added safety, and far better technology in the interiors.

Design and Styling: Same Faces, Premium Touch

There is no change in the overall design language, but Windsor Pro has remained arc-shaped, has sleek LED lighting, features connected LED bars, and has flush door handles.

The rest of its looks are further enhanced by the 18-inch alloy wheels and a high-gloss finish paint. Teaser videos promise a number of interesting features borrowed from Pro styling, likely to refer to a more sophisticated, high-end exterior detailing and an increased level of luxury within.

Main Battery and Range Upgrade

A whole new battery pack is one of these innovations. Although it's rumored to carry the same 50.3 kWh battery found in the ZS EV, this upgrade is expected to be one of the most impressive ranges of 460 km on a single charge, a major improvement over the current Windsor's 38 kWh battery and 332 km range. It should further bolster the practical aspirations of the Windsor Pro for long distances and city use.

MG is to introduce the ADAS suite in the Windsor Pro boasting features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking just like the ZS EV, Hector, and Gloster. Along with this comes the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature which pays users directly power from the car to external appliances.

Pro Cabin: Technology and Comfort Reimagined

It is worth mentioning comfort and convenience into the cabin of an extended "Pro Cabin" moniker with faux wood inserts, higher grade upholstery, and likely additional features that would complement something already functional such as infotainment, connectivity, and perhaps new ambient light or wireless charging options that MG has called "Pro convenience."

Expected Pricing and Positioning

What is more, the Windsor Pro will likely cost above the current Windsor model, thus putting it into a higher segment of premium electric vehicles. The vehicle does so well in terms of its additional tech, safety, and range within which it is marked to appeal buyers looking for a high-end electric driving experience.
