MG Windsor Pro EV Hits Showrooms Nationwide With 449km Range

Following high anticipation, the MG Windsor Pro EV is starting to arrive at dealers across India. The model was introduced earlier this month, as you may remember, with an introductory price of Rs. 17.5 lakh for the first 8,000 bookings. This phase is over, and the new ex-showroom price is Rs. 18.10 lakh.

MG is also attempting to democratise electric mobility, which would see the Windsor Pro EV available under BaaS, or Battery-as-a-Service, with the overall car price being Rs. 13.10 lakh per vehicle and considering a running cost of Rs. 4.5 per kilometre, which some may find attractive, especially for high-mileage users such as those in fleets.

Long-Range Battery and Performance

The MG Windsor Pro Electric Vehicle has a few main advantages to the vehicle. The first advantage is that it has a larger size 52.9 kWh battery pack. The upgrade is considerable when compared to the standard model and allows the Pro to have a claimed driving range of 449km from a single charge, making it one of the segment leaders for driving range and range efficiency.

Feature-rich offering with ADAS Level 2 assistance. Along with the added range, the Windsor Pro also had an upgrade in feature set. The Windsor Pro now has ADAS level 2 with many assist effects such as lane keep assistance, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.

More upgrades include white seat upholstery added to enhance customer contrast, a powered tail gate, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functions, which are the things that EV owners aspire to find added functionality for.

Conclusion

All-in-all, the Windsor Pro is an excellent first step for JSW MG Motor India, as a strong value proposition in the emerging electric vehicle market, price value and features considered; ideal for contemporary EV owners who want practicality, comfort, range, and tech sophistication for less than Rs 20 lakh.
