MG Astor prices witness hike: Increased by Up to Rs. 38,000 in June

MG Motor India has announced a price hike across its lineup for June, affecting models such as the Comet EV, Astor, Hector, and Hector Plus. Among these, the MG Astor SUV has seen the most significant increase, with prices going up by up to Rs. 38,000. This adjustment means the Astor now starts at a base ex-showroom price of Rs. 9.98 lakh.

Variants and Price Changes

The MG Astor is available in six variants: Sprint, Shine, Select, Smart, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. The recent price hike primarily impacts the higher variants, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro, which have seen their prices rise by amounts ranging from Rs. 31,800 to Rs. 38,000.

Specifications and Features

The MG Astor is powered by either a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor. It offers multiple transmission choices, including a five-speed manual, CVT (continuously variable transmission), and a six-speed torque converter unit.

Astor Facelift Leak

Recently, the design of the upcoming Astor facelift was leaked, revealing significant updates in its exterior styling and features. Despite these changes, there are no expected alterations to the engine and gearbox options, indicating continuity with the current models.

Future Plans

In the future, MG is planning to update the Astor with a facelift. This new version will have changes to its looks and some new features, but the engine and transmission options are expected to stay the same. This means even with the updates, the car will still offer a similar performance and driving experience as the current models.

In Conclusion, The increase in MG Astor's prices reflects broader economic factors impacting the automotive industry. While this might make buying a new Astor slightly more expensive, customers can expect continued innovation and updates from MG Motor as they enhance their product offerings to meet evolving consumer needs and preferences.
