Maruti e Vitara Arrives at Dealerships Ahead of March 2025 Launch
Maruti Suzuki is all set to enter the EV market with its first electric SUV, the Maruti e Vitara, which is expected to launch in March 2025.
The SUV has already begun arriving at dealerships across India, giving a glimpse of what’s to come. Additionally, select dealerships have started accepting offline bookings, further confirming its imminent launch.
The e Vitara was recently spotted at a dealership finished in Nexa Blue, the same shade showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The electric SUV will also be available in five monotone and four dual-tone color options.
The exterior features a sleek design, with Y-shaped LED DRLs, LED projector headlights, and front fog lamps. The side profile sports 18-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels with black cladding, while the rear features a three-piece LED tail light setup connected by a glossy black strip.
Inside, the e Vitara boasts a modern, high-tech cabin. The 2-spoke steering wheel, dual-screen setup, and rectangular AC vents add to its premium appeal.
Other highlights include:
10.25-inch digital driver’s display
10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Wireless phone charging
Electronic parking brake
Auto-dimming IRVM
Semi-leatherette seat upholstery
Maruti has not yet revealed the variant-wise feature list, but the showcased model is believed to be the top-spec Alpha variant.
The e Vitara will be available with two battery pack options:
| Battery Pack | Power | Torque | Claimed Range | Drivetrain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 49 kWh | 144 PS | 192.5 Nm | TBA | FWD |
| 61 kWh | 174 PS | 192.5 Nm | Over 500 km | FWD |
The larger 61 kWh battery pack is expected to deliver over 500 km of range, making it one of the most efficient EVs in its segment.
The Maruti e Vitara is expected to be priced from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It will compete against the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, and MG ZS EV.
With a premium feature set, spacious interior, and competitive pricing, the e Vitara is shaping up to be a strong contender in the growing electric SUV segment. Stay tuned for further updates as Maruti prepares for its much-awaited EV debut in India.
