Maruti has been upgrading its best-selling models with new features according to the new generation's needs. Earlier, Maruti had launched its all-new Swift.
After almost seven years on the market, the third-generation Maruti Dzire will finally receive a generation update later this year, based on the brand-new Swift, which makes its debut next month. Because of the Swift's widespread popularity, the new model made its introduction in Tokyo. But the Dzire's global debut will also take place here because it is designed exclusively for the Indian market, fitting into the sub-4 million category where it can benefit from small car tax savings.
The new Dzire will receive a major overhaul in terms of design, features, and engine options. Details are mentioned below:
According to reports, the Dzire is anticipated to be even more distinctive from the India-spec Swift, which will sport a somewhat different style than the global-spec vehicle. Also, The new Dzire will share its foundation with the fourth-generation Swift, which was recently unveiled and has been spotted testing in India.
It is expected that the hatchback cousin's tiny sedan will have different doors, pillars, and profiles to establish its character. It is expected to come in the top-spec ZXI+ model, which will come equipped with a single-pane sunroof—a stylish feature that more and more Indian consumers are requesting.
It is anticipated that the new Dzire would resemble the fourth-generation Swift in terms of its slimmer headlights, sharper front end, and updated grille.

Other exterior highlights include new alloy wheels, C-shaped LED tail lamps, and a revamped tailgate with a redesigned rear bumper.
One can also expect an updated dashboard design and a redesigned interior. Automatic climate control, horizontal air conditioning vents, and A 9.0-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, horizontal AC vents, a reverse camera, a head-up display, cruise control, push-button start/stop, and keyless entry are possible features.
Even the potential inclusion of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in the upcoming Dzire can be expected.
It is reported that the new Dzire will have the same engine as the Swift. The new Z Series 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which will replace the K Series 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine, will be tuned specifically for India with an emphasis on output, efficiency, and emissions, just like the Swift. We anticipate Maruti will stick with the AMT and 5-speed manual gears, which are designed specifically for Indian circumstances. Later on, a factory-fitted CNG kit will be added to the lineup.
The updated Dzire is expected to be launched in the second half of this year after the reveal of the new-gen Swift hatchback, which can be expected closer to the festive season.
The Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor are Maruti Dzire's primary competitors in the sub-4 million sedan segment.
