Mahindra XEV 9e Pack One Reaches Dealer Showrooms
The Mahindra XEV 9e Pack One has begun arriving at dealer showrooms, priced at Rs 21.9 lakh (ex-showroom) with a 59 kWh battery pack.
Despite being the entry variant, it brings a triple 12.3-inch display setup, a 663-litre boot, and a rear-wheel drive motor rated at 228 bhp.
The Mahindra XEV 9e has carved out a distinct identity for itself in the growing premium electric SUV space, and the arrival of its base Pack One variant at dealerships marks a meaningful moment for buyers who have been waiting on the fence.
Priced at Rs 21.9 lakh (ex-showroom), the entry-level trim brings the coupe electric SUV within reach of a wider audience without stripping it down to the point of feeling incomplete.
What sets the XEV 9e apart from its sibling, the XEV 9S, is immediately apparent from the outside. The sloping coupe roofline gives it a dramatically different character compared to conventional SUVs, and that visual flair holds firm even in the base trim.
The Pack One rolls on 19-inch stylised steel wheels fitted with dedicated covers that convincingly mimic alloy wheels. Connected LED DRLs and tail lights add to the premium feel, as do flush door handles, auto headlights, and rain-sensing wipers.
Practically speaking, the XEV 9e offers a generous 663-litre boot and a 150-litre frunk. A nifty touch, even at this trim level, is the ability to fold the second row of seats directly from the boot area.
Power-adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators, a reversing camera, gloss black body cladding, and a rear defogger round out the exterior features.
Step inside and the dashboard makes an immediate impression. Mahindra fits the Pack One with a triple 12.3-inch display setup as standard, covering the driver's instrument cluster, the central infotainment screen, and a dedicated screen for the front passenger. The passenger-side display comes loaded with apps and includes a driver-distraction filter, which is considered a bit of engineering.
The steering wheel is shared with the higher variants and includes an illuminated logo, audio controls, cruise control, and paddle shifters for adjusting regenerative braking. Boost mode is accessible via the wheel as well.
Inside the cabin, fabric seats, adjustable steering for height and reach, auto climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a cooled centre armrest storage compartment, and a vanity mirror with lights for the co-driver are all present.
Rear occupants are well looked after too, with a centre armrest, AC vents, two 65W USB Type-C fast chargers, and LED reading lights on offer.
Under the skin, the XEV 9e Pack One is motivated by a 59 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 542 km on a single charge. Power goes to the rear wheels via a motor producing 228 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. It is worth noting that the XEV 9S Pack One Above variant does offer a 79 kWh battery option, something the XEV 9e currently does not provide in its lineup.
For buyers drawn to the coupe form factor and a well-appointed cabin at the Rs 21.9 lakh entry point, the XEV 9e Pack One presents a compelling case.
