Mahindra has teased the Vision.T, a production-ready evolution of the Thar.e SUV. The new teaser highlights that the exterior boasts numerous design features, such as:
Vertical double-stack LED tail lamps
Tailgate-mounted spare wheel
Door-mounted side mirrors
Reflectors integrated into the bumpers
An earlier teaser had already revealed the boxy front fenders and suspension components, giving a peek at its rugged proportions.
In line with its shift to a tech-forward EV, the Vision.T represents Mahindra’s effort to electrify its most iconic off-roader, the Thar.
While still under wraps, the production model is expected to carry forward the five-door configuration seen in the Thar.e concept.
Built on the INGLO platform, the Vision.T could borrow powertrain options from Mahindra’s upcoming BE.6 SUV, including dual-motor AWD configurations and battery sizes between 59 kWh to 79 kWh.
The Vision.T will be one of four concept EVs that Mahindra plans to unveil at its Freedom_NU event on August 15, 2025. The others include:
Vision.S: Likely an electric version of the Scorpio-N
Vision.SXT: Expected to preview an electric Scorpio pickup
These unveilings will provide a glimpse into Mahindra’s broader EV roadmap as it transitions from concept to market-ready models.
While Mahindra has not officially confirmed launch timelines, the Vision.T is expected to enter production by 2026, with industry estimates starting around ₹20 lakh. It will be positioned as a rugged, lifestyle-focused EV, appealing to both off-road enthusiasts and eco-conscious buyers.
With the Vision.T, Mahindra is not just electrifying the Thar - it is reimagining it for a new generation of electric mobility. The Vision.T, along with other upcoming EV models, will take Mahindra’s venture into the EV era further.
