BE 6 comes in five variants are- Pack One, Pack One Above, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three, and the XEV 9e is offered in four variants which are- Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three.
A regular 59-kWh battery pack and a bigger 79-kWh battery pack with a single motor arrangement are included with the EVs. The XEV 9e and BE 6 have a range of up to 656 km and 683 km, respectively.
Test Drives started in a Phased Manner
Today, Mahindra began testing its newest EVs, the XUV 9e and BE 6, around India. There was a gradual start to the test drives.
First phase on January 14, 2025: The first phase was hosted on January 14, 2025 in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune.
Second phase on January 24, 2025: Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Indore hosted the second phase on January 24, 2025.
Test drives are offered in every city, and the third phase starts today. The XUV9e is marginally more expensive, with prices ranging from Rs 21.9 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh, whereas the BE6 is priced between Rs 18.9 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh.

An Overview of The Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e
There are two different design styles that the Mahindra BE 6 and XUV 9e provide. Dual-pod headlights, C-shaped LED DRLs and tail lights, and 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels (upgradable to 20 inches) give the BE 6 an aggressive appearance.
The XUV 9e, on the other hand, adopts a more straightforward SUV-coupe design with alloy wheel options, connected LED DRLs and tail lights, and vertically stacked LED headlamps. An illuminated "Infinity" emblem on the two-spoke steering wheel, a contemporary triple-screen arrangement (instrumentation, infotainment, and passenger display), and a minimalist dual-tone motif are all features of the cabin.
What do Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e have to offer?
The XEV 9e has a 12.3-inch triple display system, while the Mahindra BE 6 has a feature-rich, contemporary cabin that is emphasized by two 12.3-inch displays (the instrument cluster and touchscreen).
Both EVs also have a gloss-black 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated BE logo and pull-tab door handles, which are modeled by high-end Porsche vehicles. Dual wireless phone chargers, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass top with built-in lighting, and even a selfie camera are some of the other noteworthy features.
With a flawless 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, both EVs are the safest vehicles the agency has evaluated. Up to seven airbags (six as standard), an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, auto park assistance, and level-2 ADAS technology with adaptive cruise control and driver drowsiness monitoring are among the safety features.

Expected Rivals of Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e
The Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the soon-to-be Maruti e Vitara are the Mahindra BE 6's rivals.
