The Kia Syros has never been shy about punching above its weight. Launched as arguably the most premium sub-4m SUV in India, it arrived loaded with features that most rivals in its class wouldn't dare offer. Now, for the 2026 model year, Kia India has gone a step further by making it more accessible, more varied, and visually sharper than before.

The MY26 update brings a slight exterior styling redesign alongside three new colour options, redesigned alloy wheels, neon brake callipers, and the introduction of new trim levels with a wider range of powertrain combinations.

New Pricing Structure Makes Syros More Approachable

The headline story here is the revised pricing. The 2026 Kia Syros now starts from Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom), down from the previous starting price of approximately Rs 8.7 lakh. That reduction, though modest on paper, opens the door to a broader group of buyers who were sitting just outside the Syros' previous reach.

Prices for the 2026 Kia Syros range between Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom) for the HTE Turbo Petrol MT variant and go up to Rs 15.8 lakh (ex-showroom) for the HTX (O) Diesel 6AT variant.

Variant Lineup Overhauled

The MY26 update introduces four new trims, namely HTE, HTE (O), HTK+ (O) and HTX (O). The previous base trim, HTK, appears to have been removed, with the range now starting from HTE, followed by HTE (O), HTK (EX), HTK+, HTK+ (O), HTX and HTX (O). The HTX+ and HTX+ (O) trims appear to have been discontinued as well.

Kia has also introduced more affordable diesel automatic variants, which now start from Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom) with the HTK+ trim, compared to the HTX+ trim previously.

Styling Updates Give the Syros a Crisper Look

The design changes are subtle but noticeable in the right places. The 2026 Syros gets a new front bumper with LED fog lights and body-coloured aero inserts. At the rear, there is a revised bumper and a high-mount stop light. Additional styling touches include gloss black on the roof rails and ORVMs, new 17-inch alloy wheels, and neon brake callipers.

Three new colour options have also been added: Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte, and Ivory Silver Gloss. These broaden the palette considerably and give buyers more personalisation choices without straying into flamboyant territory.

Core Features Remain Intact

Despite the structural changes to the variant lineup, Kia continues to offer all headline features of the Syros, including the 30-inch Trinity display, panoramic sunroof, front and rear ventilated seats, rear sliding and reclining seats, and over 80 connected car features.

That's a reassuring sign. The Syros built its reputation on feature richness, and Kia clearly has no intention of diluting that.

According to Kia India's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the MY26 evolution was guided by customer insights, with design enhancements and a revised trim and feature lineup delivering more meaningful value and greater choice across trims and powertrains.
