Kia India, a prominent player in the mass premium automotive segment, reported a robust 15.8% increase in sales for September 2025, with a total of 22,700 units dispatched. This marks a significant jump compared to the 19,608 units sold in August 2025.
The company has also seen impressive Year-To-Date growth in 2025, with a total of 206,582 units sold, reflecting a 7.2% increase over the same period last year, when 192,690 units were dispatched.
Kia India attributes this positive sales performance to two key factors: the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms, which have streamlined the taxation process and improved affordability for buyers, and the onset of the festive season, which has traditionally driven higher demand for automobiles. Kia’s diverse product portfolio, including the Sonet, Carens Family, Seltos, Syros, and Carnival, continues to resonate with customers due to their comfort, innovation, and segment-leading features.
Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Kia India, commented, “The strong sales growth in September is a testament to the positive impact of GST reforms and the robust demand generated during the festive season. These factors, coupled with the continuous trust our customers place in our brand, have significantly contributed to our success. Our innovative and feature-rich lineup has been pivotal in fostering deeper customer engagement, and we remain committed to offering superior mobility solutions.”
In addition to its domestic success, Kia India has further strengthened its global footprint by exporting 2,606 units in September 2025. This reinforces the company’s strategy of expanding its market presence internationally while diversifying its export markets.
Kia India remains steadfast in its commitment to offering vehicles that meet the evolving needs of Indian consumers. By integrating advanced technologies, superior comfort, and eco-friendly performance, the brand continues to lead the charge in sustainable mobility in India. Kia’s dedication to innovation is evident in its latest product offerings, which promise both environmental responsibility and exceptional value.
Kia India entered the Indian market in 2017, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh. The company began mass production at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Anantapur District in August 2019, with an annual production capacity of 300,000 units. In 2021, Kia India redefined its brand identity under the theme “Movement that Inspires,” focused on delivering innovative products and services that resonate with the aspirations of Indian consumers.
Since its inception, Kia India has launched nine vehicles, including the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Carnival, EV6, and the upcoming EV9. The company has dispatched nearly 1.5 million vehicles from its Anantapur plant, with over 1.2 million sold domestically and more than 367,000 units exported. With a growing fleet of over 470,000 connected vehicles on Indian roads, Kia India continues to be a leader in connected car technology. The company’s extensive network of 744 touchpoints across 329 cities underpins its commitment to expanding its presence across the country.
