Kia Carens Clavis EV Launching: Price, Range, and Features

Kia India has entered with a bang this time with the official launch of Carens Clavis EV, the fully electric version of its MPV car. As it is the first vehicle locally produced by Kia, the Clavis EV will be electric with a starting price of 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is all set to release in the upcoming days.

Colour Options and Trims

The Clavis EV will be offered in six exterior colours:

  • Ivory Silver Matte

  • Aurora Black Pearl

  • Pewter Olive

  • Glacier White Pearl

  • Imperial Blue

  • Gravity Grey

Kia has provided four variants, which include HTK+, HTX, HTX ER and HTX+ ER. The name behind the initials of the model signifies Extended Range as an abbreviation, where the battery is charged and has a longer driving distance.

Battery Packs and Range

There are two options of battery available to buyers:

  • 42kWh (Standard Range): Range of up to 404km (ARAI-certified)

  • 51.4kWh (Extended Range): Range of maximum 490km

The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology that is also applicable to the Carens Clavis EV allows charging external appliances, front charging port with light and paddle shifters which adjust the regenerative braking rate of the i-pedal.

Features and Tech galore Packed

On the inside, the Carens Clavis EV will have a long list of premium and tech features that include:

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • All-LED lighting

  • 17 inch dual tone aero alloy wheel

  • Proper aerodynamics by means of active air flaps

  • Front ventilated seats

  • Powered four way driver seat

  • Low-level lighting and ultraviolet-cut window glass

  • Infotainment dual 12.25-inch screen and driver cluster display

  • Six airbags and a level 2 ADAS package to increase the safety levels

Kia will show its official drive review on 22 July at 1 PM, and we will see the detailed picture of how the Clavis EV manages to perform in real-life conditions. So far, the launch is another premium compact EV player with style, tech, and safety in the attractive electric package in India.
