The excitement surrounding Mahindra's new XUV 7XO began the week. The carmaker unveiled a new teaser that highlighted the improved interior design and hinted at a luxurious cabin experience before its formal launch on January 5, 2026.
The SUV is anticipated to include improved comfort features, a tech-rich infotainment system, and a triple-screen dashboard that sets it apart from its predecessor. This week, Tata Motors made a big announcement by formally releasing fuel versions of its well-liked Harrier and Safari SUVs. A 1.5-liter TGDi petrol engine with 168 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque powers these new models, which come with both manual and automatic transmission options. Their competitiveness is further increased by feature enhancements like a 14.5-inch touchscreen with Dolby Atmos, memory ORVMs, and enhanced Level 2 ADAS.
Tata presented their 2026 EV roadmap in addition to petrol options, confirming the introduction of the Sierra EV, a facelifted Punch EV, and a new luxury EV sub-brand called Avinya.
