In a bold move following a successful product offensive, Maruti Suzuki announces Vision 3.0, setting ambitious targets for the next eight years. The carmaker aims to double its production capacity to four million units and triple exports from India. Central to this vision is the expansion of its model portfolio from 17 to 28 by the end of the decade.
As part of this strategy, Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce eight new models within the next three to four years, alongside a diverse range of powertrains, including EVs, hybrids, petrol, CNG, flex-fuel, and ethanol-powered vehicles.
New Swift and Dzire (YED)
Maruti Suzuki's upcoming lineup includes a next-generation Swift and Dzire. With the Swift poised for a rebranding as a sporty hatch for the masses, the company aims to recapture its original appeal. The new Swift will feature an evolutionary design and enhanced features, while the Dzire will sport upscale aesthetics with additional chrome accents and lighter interior shades.
XUV700 and Alcazar Rival (Y17)
A three-row version of the Grand Vitara codenamed Y17, is in development. Expected to be the inaugural product from Maruti's new Kharkhoda plant, this SUV will offer petrol, Toyota hybrid, and CNG powertrain options. Designed to compete with models like the XUV700 and Alcazar, it will also be produced for Toyota by Maruti.
Punch-rivalling SUV (Y43)
Maruti aims to capitalize on the sub-four-metre SUV market with a new model positioned below the Brezza. The Y43 will join the company's growing SUV lineup and feature proper SUV styling to attract budget-conscious buyers.

Suzuki Spacia-based MPV (YDB)
An all-new compact MPV, based on the Suzuki Spacia, is slated for debut in 2026. Expected to rival models like the Triber, it may offer a stretched version with three-row seating and a host of features suitable for the Nexa brand.
Maruti eVX SUV (YY8)
Maruti's entry into the EV market will be marked by a midsize electric SUV, the eVX. Built on a bespoke electric platform, it will compete with models like the Creta, boasting two battery pack options and a maximum range of approximately 550km. Export plans include markets like Japan and Europe.
Maruti's Electric MPV (YMC)
Utilizing a joint EV architecture developed with Toyota, Maruti plans to introduce an electric MPV alongside the eVX. Expected for launch in September 2026, it will share components and powertrain with its SUV counterpart.
Suzuki eWX-based Small Electric Hatch (K-EV)
Maruti's foray into low-cost EVs includes a small electric hatch based on the Suzuki eWX concept. Set for release around 2026-27, it will feature heavy localization to ensure competitive pricing in the EV market.
