Duster Pick-Up and Cargo Variants Launched Globally
The brand, the Duster Pick-Up, is not so new. Oroch: A full-fledged pickup with an extra-long wheelbase, the factory-built Oroch was used by the previous generation.
The latest third-generation Duster Pick-Up that was unveiled is otherwise. It has not been built internally, but instead tasked to Romturingia, a Romanian firm of similar conversions, in the past.
At 26000 EUR (about Rs 27.21 lakh) including VAT, the Duster Pick-Up has the same design until the end of the D-pillar, body panels, and light similarities to the regular SUV. The most important change is at the backend as the roof has been cut to form a functioning load bed that has a protective liner. This is a space that has a cargo capacity of 430kg.
Internally, the cargo bay is identical (although 1,050 mm in length and 1,000 mm in width), and powertrain offerings are the same, featuring a 1.8-litre Hybrid or 1.2-litre Petrol, with 4WD, making the vehicle also suitable for both urban and rough usage.
In the UK market, Dacia has launched the Duster Cargo whose prices start at GBP 28,700 plus VAT. This version is a factory-built and made into a compact van as opposed to the Pick-Up. The rear seats are folded to form 1,149-litre cargo height and can hold a load of 430 kg.
It has a mesh bulkhead, opaque privacy window, and security alarm to further increase the practicality. There are also Hybrid 130 with 4WD and Hybrid 155, which are meant to guarantee that it is efficient and still gives the desired performance.
Under the Duster, with the launch of the Duster Pick-Up in Romania and the Duster Cargo in the UK, Dacia is making it clear how versatile the platform can really be. These refreshed versions will help to attract even more consumers and business customers to the popular SUV, as these modified models exhibit increased attractiveness to people who prefer a useful utility car but seek to be fashionable.
