Citroen eC3X Teased Ahead of India Launch
  • The Citroen eC3X teaser confirms a rear wiper, a feature that was missing on the outgoing eC3.

  • The updated electric hatchback will adopt the 'X' suffix and is expected to gain several new features inside and out.

Citroen India dropped a fresh teaser image of the eC3X on June 16, 2026, offering a small but telling glimpse of what the updated electric hatchback will bring.

The image reveals a rear wiper, an addition that may seem minor on paper but has been a persistent request among eC3 owners for some time. It is the kind of practical, everyday feature whose absence tends to get noticed far more than its presence.

What the X Suffix Means for the eC3

The updated model will carry the 'X' suffix, bringing it in line with the petrol-powered C3X that is already on sale in India. That name change is more than cosmetic. Drawing parallels from the ICE sibling, the eC3X is expected to gain a notably improved feature list.

On the inside, buyers can look forward to a tweaked cabin with better quality materials, an updated instrument cluster, an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, and a 360-degree camera system.

Exterior Updates to Give the eC3X a Fresher Face

The outside story is expected to be one of subtle but meaningful changes. LED projector headlamps and bumper-mounted LED fog lamps are likely to make the cut, while revised front and rear bumpers should give the hatchback a more contemporary look.

At least one new colour option is also anticipated, giving prospective buyers a bit more to choose from.

Powertrain and Dimensions Stay the Course

Beneath the surface, Citroen is not expected to make any significant changes to the mechanical package. The eC3X should carry forward the existing 29.2kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 56bhp and 143Nm of torque.

Overall dimensions are similarly expected to remain unchanged, keeping the car within the same compact footprint as before.

With the launch just weeks away, the complete picture, including pricing, will not be a mystery for much longer.
