Audi Q8 Facelift Launched at Rs 1.17 Crore
Audi India has rolled out the refreshed Q8 SUV with a starting price of Rs 1.17 crore. Although the new version retains the mechanical configuration of its predecessor it brings along slight design tweaks and additional features that enhance its attractiveness in the luxury SUV market.
The most notable change in the updated Q8 is the introduction of advanced HD Matrix LED headlights that come with laser assistance for high beams. These headlights allow for customizable light signatures adding a personal touch to the vehicle's front look. The grille has been subtly updated with new octagonal openings and L shaped accents giving it a more dynamic appearance. The air intakes on the bumper have also been redesigned, enhancing the SUVs aggressive stance.
While the rear of the car remains mostly unchanged from the previous model it now boasts new digital OLED taillights with four selectable light designs that synchronize with the headlights, boosting the cars visual charm, day and night.
The interior of the Q8 facelift maintains the sleek and contemporary look of its predecessor but introduces new stitching designs on the upholstery and refreshed color options. The cabin still boasts Audi's dual MMI touchscreens, climate control with four zones, a head up display and seats that come with heating, ventilation and massage features. The high quality Bang & Olufsen sound system remains in place too. Moreover the Q8 now includes an expanded app store featuring integrated third party music applications such as Spotify and Amazon Music to enrich its entertainment offerings. Driver assistance systems have also been enhanced for a safer and more enjoyable driving experience.
Beneath its exterior the Audi Q8 facelift for the Indian market is still equipped with a 3.0 liter V6 turbo petrol engine supported by a 48V mild hybrid system. This combination generates an impressive 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, delivering a performance. The engine is paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission that distributes power to all four wheels for a driving experience.
The Q8 facelift comes with a price tag of Rs 1.17 crore which is Rs 10 lakh higher than the previous version. While it doesn't have competitors in the market it positions itself as an option against traditional luxury SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5. The Q8 stands out with its distinctive combination of design, performance and advanced technology features.
