With its new style, features, and engine options, the India-bound Bayon is poised to enter the sub-4-meter SUV market and take on well-known competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
New spy photos of the 2026 Hyundai Bayon undergoing winter testing have piqued the interest of both customers and SUV enthusiasts. An early look at Hyundai's plans for the next-generation model was provided when the carefully camouflaged prototype was spotted braving the wintry conditions.
This version of the Bayon looks more rugged and SUV-like than the present model, which has softer crossover lines. It has a boxier posture and reworked front and rear fascias that follow contemporary SUV style cues.
The new Bayon has a more upright front end and a flatter roofline, two important visual characteristics that highlight a greater SUV character, as can be seen through the camouflage. The headlamp design appears to blend larger, rectangular main bulbs underneath with slim LED daytime running lights.
Additionally, it seems to have dual-tone mirrors, new alloy wheels, conspicuous body cladding, and squared-off wheel arches, all of which contribute to a more deliberate road presence.
