2025 Tata Tiago and Tigor Set for Early 2025 Launch

Tata Motors is gearing up to release refreshed versions of its popular Tiago hatchback and Tigor sedan in early 2025. These updates aim to enhance comfort and technology, ensuring the vehicles remain competitive in the evolving car market.

Anticipated Launch Timeline

The current Tiago and Tigor first-generation facelifts introduced in January 2020, are due for mid-cycle updates. Tata Motors has indicated that the updated versions are expected to debut in January or February 2025, aligning with the fifth anniversary of their last major update.

Expected Enhancements

Exterior Updates

While significant exterior redesigns are not anticipated, subtle changes may include new color options, darker tints for headlights and tail lights, and redesigned alloy wheels to provide a refreshed appearance.

Interior Upgrades

The most notable improvements are expected within the cabin. Anticipated features include:

  • Rear air conditioning vents for enhanced passenger comfort.

  • A front center armrest to improve driver and front passenger convenience.

  • An upgraded infotainment system, potentially featuring a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

  • Introduction of a wireless charging pad and a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster.

  • Possibility of a single-pane sunroof in higher trims.

Trim Structure

Tata Motors may adopt a unified trim structure for the 2025 Tiago and Tigor, potentially replacing existing trims (XE, XM, XT, XZ) with new designations such as Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative, streamlining options for consumers.

Performance Specifications

The updated models are expected to retain the reliable 1.2-liter three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, equipped with dual-cylinder i-CNG technology, ensuring a balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

Market Competition

The 2025 Tata Tiago will compete with the fourth-generation Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, while the Tigor will face rivals like the Hyundai Aura, fourth-generation Maruti Dzire, and the recently launched third-generation Honda Amaze.

In the end, with these updates, Tata Motors aims to enhance the appeal of the Tiago and Tigor models, offering improved features and comfort to meet the evolving preferences of car buyers in 2025.
