2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Unveiled Ahead of May 22 Launch

Tata Motors has unwrapped the 2025 Altroz facelift, which is the first significant design revamp since the model launched in 2020. The facelift model will hit the market from May 22 and is set to strengthen Tata's foothold in the premium hatchback segment with new styling and a feature-upgraded list.

Exterior Changes: Bold and Modern

The facelift introduces a completely overhauled front fascia, taking on Tata's new-generation design language borrowed from the likes of the Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, and Safari.

Key points are:

  • Twin-LED headlamps with slimmer LED DRLs

  • Updated front and rear bumpers

  • Flush-fitting door handles

  • Integrated LED tail light strip in place of wraparound lamps

  • New alloy wheel designs

These updates give the Altroz a more aggressive, sharper stance and enhance aerodynamic efficiency. The facelift will be available in five colours:

  • Dune Glow

  • Ember Glow

  • Pure Grey

  • Royal Blue, and

  • Pristine White

Interior Improvements and Features

Inside, the Altroz gets a cleaner, more premium dashboard design inspired by newer Tata models. Some of the key features now available across more trims are:

  • 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster

  • Ventilated front seats

  • Powered driver's seat

  • Auto-dimming IRVM

  • Ambient lighting

These features put the Altroz on par with customer expectations for connected and comfortable driving experiences.

Trim Levels and Variants

The 2025 Altroz will be offered in five trims:

  • Smart

  • Pure

  • Creative

  • Accomplished

  • Accomplished +S

This lineup puts a version of the Altroz on the market for every buyer, from budget-conscious users to feature-hungry enthusiasts.

Powertrain: No Changes Under the Hood

Tata Motors continues with the tried-and-true engine lineup:

  • 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol – 84 bhp

  • 1.5L diesel – 89 bhp

  • Transmission: 5-speed manual or 6-speed DCT

The Altroz Racer trim, for the performance seekers, will have:

  • 1.2L turbo-petrol engine – 118 bhp, 170 Nm

  • 6-speed manual transmission only

Final Thoughts

With a new design, tech-filled cabin, and tried & tested powertrain choices, the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift has the potential to put the brand's value proposition in the premium hatchback space into an exciting new orbit. The May 22 launch will also give us a better idea of variant-wise prices and availability, but the changes already make the Altroz a good-looking, forward-thinking player.
