2025 Maruti Ertiga will have 6 Airbags with New Features

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the bestselling MPV in India, is about to receive an important safety and features upgrade in the 2025 model year. This update will see the addition of six airbags as a standard feature on all variants of Ertiga, which remains in line with Maruti Suzuki's emphasis on passenger safety across all its lineup. This is in line with the upgrades made available on Wagon R, Baleno, and Brezza.

New Prices: Modest increase across the Spectrum

Prices of the new Ertiga start at 9.11 lakh rupees on the base LXI and reach 13.40 lakh rupees on the top-end ZXI+ AT.

All variants have been subjected to the same price increment, 14,500 rupees across the board, courtesy of the newly implemented safety and convenience features.

Price Highlights (ex-showroom) in variant-wise:

  • LXI MT: 9.11 lakh

  • VXI MT: Rs 10.20 lakh

  • ZXI MT: . Rs 11.30 lakh

  • ZXI+ AT: 13.40 lakh

  • CNG models: 11.15 lakh and 12.25 Lakh

What’s New Inside: Practical Additions for All Rows

The Ertiga has not been altered much in terms of looks, especially on the exterior, with one exception, which is the new roof spoiler.

In the cabin, however, a few very convenient changes are effected:

  • Roof-mounted AC unit at the second row has been done away with

  • Two new AC vents inserted at the back of the front armrests have been their replacements.

  • The second and third rows got two USB Type-C charging ports added to them

  • Movable headrest at the center seat of the second row

  • New vents on the third row and Type-C ports that enhance the long-distance experiences

A minor detail is the AC control switch, which is on the right side of the dashboard, making it only accessible to the driver.

Under the Hood: There is Nothing New with the Engine and Mileage

The Ertiga now has the same 1.5-litre petrol motor that churns out 103hp, and then there is the CNG model with 89hp.

The mileage rates are not changed:

  • Petrol MT: 20.51kmpl

  • Petrol AT: 20.30kmpl

  • CNG MT: 26.11 km/kg

A Step One Jeep ahead in Safety

The Ertiga is already a safer family and fleet car with six airbags and will only be a safer one with families and fleet customers planning purchases, as the value of safety as a purchase factor changes. The 2025 variant makes sure that Ertiga remains competitive against other MPVs, so that they are not radically transforming the value offering.
