2025 Jeep Compass Unveiled Globally with EV, Hybrid Powertrains and Rugged Design

Jeep has unveiled the new-looking Compass SUV for the third generation in Europe, and it adds a new twist of modern beauty, technology, and complete electrification.

Stellantis Multiplatform serves as the base for the vehicle's architecture, a set shared with the second-generation Citroen C5 Aircross. With this model, Jeep has attempted to make a significant change in design and manner in terms of its features compared to its predecessors.

Evolved Design Elements

The skin of the car marks evolution from more subtle designs to Jeep’s flagship styling. As expected, the new Compass boldens and simplifies the Jeep styling. Other than those changes, it looks like there were new LED Matrix headlights that replace the old ones. The modern rear is unmistakably sleeker with Jeep’s spoiling of two-piece tail lamps and light bar, in tandem with the illuminated logo Jeep is famous for.

Advanced features included in Premium

The update made the cabin a luxurious one thanks to the reimaging they applied. To accompany the 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a quarter-sized 16-inch touchscreen was included alongside a rotary terrain selector.

Ventilators that are slimmer than what we’re used to seeing, arms made out of aluminum and wood, and a wireless charging system put the cherry on top of that feeling. Add a panoramic sunroof and a head-up display that also connects to the car's tech, and you have modern car tech that people drool over.

Several Powertrain Choices – EV Steals the Limelight

Three electrified models of the new Compass are being offered:

  • A 145 hp 1.2L mild-hybrid

  • A 195 hp plug-in hybrid with a 21 kWh battery

  • A fully electric alternative with 73 kWh and 97 kWh battery offerings, providing a range of 500km to 650km (WLTP)

AWD (4xe) comes only on the electric version that has two motors producing up to 375 hp.

India Has to Wait for the New Compass

Despite its charm, the third-gen Compass won't be brought to India for cost and volume reasons. At least for now, the model will be Europe-exclusive, and deliveries should commence by Q4 2025, produced at Stellantis' Melfi factory in Italy.
