2024 Hyundai Alcazar Diesel vs Rivals: Price Comparison

The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar has made its debut with a fresh design, updated interior, and new features. Competing in the 3-row SUV segment, it goes head-to-head with the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus. Here's a detailed look at how Alcazar's diesel variants compare to its rivals in terms of pricing.

Diesel Manual Price Comparison

The entry-level diesel manual variant of the Hyundai Alcazar is the Prestige 7-seater, priced at ₹17.18 lakh. This positions it above the Tata Safari's Pure variant, which costs ₹16.99 lakh, and the Mahindra XUV700’s MX 7-seater, which is the most affordable option at ₹14.99 lakh. The MG Hector Plus's Style 6/7-seater variant is priced at ₹17.30 lakh, making it ₹1.3 lakh more expensive than the Alcazar's base model.

Among the competitors, the Mahindra XUV700 offers the lowest starting price. It undercuts the Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar by ₹50,000 and ₹1 lakh, respectively. In contrast, the MG Hector Plus commands the highest starting price in this segment.

The Alcazar’s one-below-top Platinum diesel manual variant, priced at ₹19.61 lakh, is the most affordable option here for SUVs equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This variant is priced nearly ₹3 lakh less than the ADAS-equipped Tata Safari and ₹50,000 less than the Mahindra XUV700.

Diesel Automatic Price Comparison

For diesel automatic variants, the Hyundai Alcazar’s Platinum 7-seater is priced at ₹20.91 lakh, while the Signature 7-seater variant is available at ₹21.20 lakh. This makes the Alcazar more affordable compared to the Tata Safari’s Adventure automatic variant, which is priced at ₹22.89 lakh. The Mahindra XUV700’s AX5 S 7-seater automatic is priced at ₹18.99 lakh, making it the most affordable diesel automatic SUV among the competitors.

The Alcazar’s Signature 6-seater variant is nearly ₹40,000 less expensive than the XUV700’s AX7 6-seater. Despite this, the Alcazar offers features such as electric boss mode, 8-way adjustable front seats, and a wireless phone charger for the second-row seats, which are not available in the XUV700. The Tata Safari’s Adventure automatic variant, priced similarly to the Alcazar’s top variant, lacks some of the advanced features found in the Alcazar, including the complete suite of ADAS.

All the diesel SUVs here come with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. However, the XUV700’s automatic variant delivers the highest power output, producing up to 185 PS and 450 Nm of torque. In comparison, the Alcazar and Tata Safari’s automatics offer lower power outputs.

The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar provides competitive pricing across its diesel variants. It stands out for its balance of features, affordability, and advanced technology, making it a strong contender in the 3-row SUV segment.
