All about RTO e-Challan

The Government of India launched the concept of e-challan to make traffic services more assertive and user-friendly. An e-challan is a computer-based challan that is sent to traffic violators across India. It uses CCTVs to capture violators and charges them with a fine. If you do not comply with the regulations of the road, you will be fined under the Motor Vehicles Act.

How to check the RTO Challan status using Park+?

Simply follow the following steps to check your e-challan status online:

  • Step 1: Get the Park+ app or go to the website.

  • Step 2: Select the 'Challan' tab.

  • Step 3: Enter your vehicle registration number and then select Challan Details.

  • Step 4: Look for an update button and click it to be prompted to 'Update now.'

  • Step 5: After clicking 'Update now,' you will see the e-challan status.

How do I pay for an e-challan both online and offline?

Pay e-Challan Offline

You can simply check the status of a vehicle challan by going to a traffic cop with a challan machine. You can show them your challan details and pay with cash or a credit card on the spot.

Pay e-Challan Online

The following are the steps for making a successful online challan payment in Delhi:

  • Step 1: go to the Delhi Traffic Police website.

  • Step 2: Locate the 'Notice' tab. Select 'Pending Notices' from the drop-down menu.

  • Step 3: Enter your vehicle registration number or the traffic police challan Delhi that was issued to you.

  • Step 4: To proceed, click on 'Search Details.'

  • Step 5: If you have a pending Delhi e-challan, choose the 'Pay Now' option.

  • Step 6: Verify the payment ID and associated amount.

  • Step 7: After completing the online challan Delhi payment process, you will receive a confirmation text to your mobile number.

How to Pay the Delhi Traffic e-Challan Using Parivahan?

If you receive a Delhi traffic e-challan, you can pay the fine using the Parivahan website. To effectively pay your Delhi police online challan via the Parivahan website, follow the steps below:

  • First, go to the Parivahan website.

  • Step 2: Enter the Delhi E-Challan Number, your Vehicle Registration Number, or your driving licence (DL) Number.

  • Step 3: Enter the captcha code and press the 'Get Details' button.

  • Step 4: Review the details of the offence and the e-challan status.

  • Step 5: Complete the payment for the traffic fine.
