Leaked photos of road tests for the third-generation Renault Duster SUV for India have proven this to be the case. While the second-generation Duster is offered in other nations but not India, the first-generation model was introduced in India in 2013 and was retired in 2020. As part of Renault-strategy, Nissan will launch three new models in India with an investment of Rs 4,000 crore. The new Duster would be produced in-house (USD 500 million).
According to industry rumours, the new Duster will debut in India in 2025. The third-generation Renault Duster SUV has been sighted during road testing, and it resembles the Dacia Bigster concept in terms of styling. The spy shots show Y-shaped tail lamps, square wheel arches, pull-type front door handles, C-pillar mounted rear door handles, a layered spoiler, and a sleek bonnet design—all shared with the Bigster. A wireless phone charger, a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and other technologies are anticipated for the cabin.
There might be a 7-seat version of the conventional 5-seat model. There are six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, parking sensors, and a camera as standard safety equipment, and ADAS may be available on higher-end models. According to Renault-revised Nissan's product plan for India, which also calls for three additional models, the new Duster SUV is scheduled for sale there in 2025.
According to reports, Renault-Nissan intends to introduce the next-generation Renault Duster SUV in India with an internal combustion engine (ICE) based on the substantially localised CMF-B modular platform that Renault and Nissan jointly developed. The new Duster SUV will fight against vehicles like the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, the VW Taigun, the MG Hector Plus, the Kia Carens, and others when it debuts in India in 2025 with a 5-seat and a 7-seat configuration.
