Will the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift be the Most fuel-efficient car?

The highly anticipated car of 2024 has finally arrived and as expected it has shaken things up in the automotive industry. From the Exterior to now its Engine, the Swift has been updated in every way. The car was launched at the Tokyo Auto Show with prices ranging from Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.50 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Following the updates, a new report has been released stating the introduction of a new Z-series engine. Let's delve into the details of this new Engine and other features:

New Z-Series Engine

The upcoming Swift will introduce the Z12 engine, a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated powerhouse. While exact power figures are pending, the Z12 engine aims for exceptional fuel efficiency, targeting around 40kmpl, a significant leap from the current model.

The Z12 engine's switch to a 3-cylinder configuration is intended to improve torque output and fuel efficiency. The low-end torque of this new engine is improved—by precisely 3.5 percent. Although the new engine only produces 82 PS instead of 90 PS, it is still less powerful than the earlier Swift, but Maruti Suzuki has paid attention to what matters most to most of the hatchback's buyers—many of whom drive mostly in cities.

Because of the increased low-end torque, the vehicle will have enough power to pass quickly in traffic and to overtake other vehicles when traveling at slower speeds inside the city. This means that driving at a leisurely speed inside the city won't feel boring or unimpressive. But further testing is needed on this before we can provide more thorough input on this modification.

In addition to offering improved fuel efficiency, the new Z-series engine offers a 12% reduction in carbon emissions. This environmentally friendly strategy is consistent with Suzuki's dedication to sustainability. Additionally, owners can save money because of the increased fuel efficiency, which adds up to a lot of advantages over time.

Features and Safety Upgrades

The 2024 Swift is equipped with a plethora of cutting-edge safety technologies, such as standard six airbags, hill hold assist, and 3-point seat belts for every passenger. The updated appearance of the cabin, which drew inspiration from previous Maruti Suzuki models, has a larger touchscreen entertainment system.

Differential Choices and Prices

The following five models will be offered for the new Swift: LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+. Starting at Rs. 6.49 lakh, the pricing range accommodates a variety of tastes and financial constraints. The car will also be available in nine different hues, giving customers plenty of options.

Overall, Suzuki may be planning to use the Z12 engine in the Swift as part of a larger plan to eventually use it in other models like as the Fronx, Baleno, Eeco, and Ignis. This action demonstrates Suzuki's dedication to internal combustion engine innovation in the face of the global transition to electric vehicles.
