Volvo EX30 Spied Testing Ahead of India Launch

The Volvo EX30 will be launched in India next month (August 2025). Ahead of its launch, a fully camouflaged EX30 was spotted on the Jaipur-Delhi highway. This is the first time the EX30 was seen being tested in India, most likely being fine-tuned for the Indian road conditions.

The EX30, locally assembled at Volvo’s Hoskote plant near Bengaluru, is expected to be priced under ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). The EX30 will be the most compact and affordable EV from Volvo in India and will be joining the brand’s electric lineup alongside the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge.

Battery, Range, and Platform Details

Globally, the EX30 comes with two battery options:

  • 51kWh LFP battery with 342 km range

  • 69kWh NMC battery with 474 km WLTP range

The Indian model is expected to get the 69kWh battery pack. The Volvo EX30 is built on Geely’s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, providing it with scalability and flexibility.

The final variant details and confirmed specifications for India are to be revealed at launch in August 2025.
