Volkswagen Virtus Prices Updated in India: Variants See Increases, Reductions, and Modifications

The majority of the Virtus sedan's 2026 price list has been updated by Volkswagen India. The bulk of the range is now more expensive; however, a few entry-level models have become more reasonably priced.
Additionally, the corporation has changed the lineup for consumers by discontinuing two high-performance manual-transmission models.
The Comfortline 1.0 MT model, which is at the bottom of the Virtus lineup, is now up to ₹70,201 less expensive than it was previously, making it a more appealing starting price for those on a tight budget. A minor discount of ₹3,155 was also applied to the Topline Chrome 1.0 AT version.
These cuts increase the lower end of the Virtus range's competitiveness versus competitors and may attract first-time sedan buyers seeking high-end features at reasonable costs.
On the other hand, a lot of mid- and top-spec cars are now more expensive. For instance, the GT Line 1.0 MT has increased by approximately ₹45,000, whereas the Highline Plus models have increased by approximately ₹39,000 to ₹40,000. The price of other models, such as the DSG and automatic trims, has increased to between ₹21,000 and ₹29,000.
These hikes bring the effective expenditure closer to the upper category of ₹19 lakh for top models, which is noteworthy for purchasers seeking greater specifications.
Volkswagen has eliminated the GT Plus Chrome 1.5 MT and GT Plus Sport 1.5 MT, two 1.5-litre manual Virtus models. Customers looking for the fastest Virtus experience are now limited to automatic transmission options, particularly for the potent 1.5-litre turbo versions.
