Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun Receive Major Discounts in May 2025
Volkswagen India is offering attractive discounts on its popular mid-size sedan, the Virtus, and the Taigun SUV throughout May 2025. The offers are particularly generous on automatic versions of both vehicles and include a mix of reduced ex-showroom pricing, trade-in bonuses, and incentives for scrapping old vehicles.
Buyers interested in the Virtus can expect benefits of up to ₹2.10 lakh, depending on the chosen trim. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol automatic variants in the Highline and Topline trims are currently the most rewarding, with price reductions of up to ₹1.90 lakh. The GT Line, a sportier option in the lineup, is being offered with slightly lower savings, capped at ₹80,000.
Those looking at the more powerful 1.5-litre TSI automatic versions, specifically in the GT Plus Sport and GT Plus Chrome trims, are eligible for discounts of up to ₹1.35 lakh. On top of these reductions, Volkswagen is also providing a scrappage incentive of ₹20,000 on all variants, aimed at encouraging customers to retire older vehicles responsibly.
Additionally, the base Comfortline variant with the 1.0 TSI manual gearbox is being offered at a special limited-time price of ₹10.44 lakh, compared to its regular listing of ₹11.56 lakh, making it an appealing entry point into the Virtus range.
The Taigun, Volkswagen’s compact SUV, is seeing even steeper offers this month, with total benefits extending up to ₹2.70 lakh. The Topline trim with the 1.0-litre TSI automatic is currently the most discounted, with savings of up to ₹2.35 lakh. Meanwhile, the Highline and GT Line variants with the same engine configuration carry discounts ranging between ₹1.40 lakh and ₹1.45 lakh.
For buyers seeking higher performance, the 1.5-litre TSI DSG variants provide strong value this month. The GT Plus Sport trim is being offered with benefits of up to ₹2.00 lakh, while the GT Plus Chrome version receives the most significant discount of the range, up to ₹2.50 lakh off. Like the Virtus, all Taigun variants are also eligible for the ₹20,000 scrappage bonus.
The entry-level Comfortline variant with the 1.0 TSI manual transmission is also available at a reduced price of ₹10.99 lakh, down from ₹11.80 lakh.
These offers from Volkswagen reflect a customer-focused strategy, especially for those looking to upgrade to automatic transmissions or more powerful variants without a steep financial jump. With multiple price points, financing flexibility, and segment-leading powertrains, both the Virtus and Taigun present strong value this May.
