
VinFast has debuted in the Indian electric vehicle market with the VF 6 electric SUV available in the range of Rs. 16.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), market entry. With three trims available (Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity), there is a solid mix of specifications and features at a low, aggressive price point.
VF 6 shape has 59.6kWh batteries, claiming a maximum driving range of up to 468km per charge. The Earth trim generates 175bhp and 250Nm, whereas the Wind and Wind infinity trims receive an increase of 201bhp and 310Nm. Power is only transferred to the front wheels.
The VF 6 features the smooth international design language found in VinFast, split DRLs, dual tone ORVMs, linked tail lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels. There are six exterior colors available to buyers: Infinity Blanc, Crimson Red, Jet Black, Desat Silver, Zenith Grey and Urban Mint, with interior options of Black/Mocca Brown.
The VF 6, internally, does not sting on equipment. It has features like a 12.9-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate, ventilated front seating and panoramic sunroof, along with OTA-enabled connected car technology, make things easier with pet mode or camp mode or ViVi AI assistant, a brand-specific virtual assistant. It is very safe equipped with seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and ISOFIX mounts.
To make the offer further sweet, VinFast is giving a 7-year / 2,00 000km warranty, three years of free services and complimentary charging on its VGreens network until July 2028. The SUV is also being manufactured in Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu.
The VF 6 can be pre-booked by interested buyers on the official VinFast site with money raised to buy, which is to the tune of Rs. 21,000. The low-cost pricing, bundle of features and high range options will introduce turbulent changes to the compact eSUV segment in India.
