With multiple manufacturers getting ready to introduce new models, updated versions, and electric vehicles in January, the Indian auto industry is set for an exciting start in 2026. This month promises plenty for a variety of shoppers, including mainstream family cars, elegant mid-sized SUVs, and electrified options.
The month begins with one of the year's most anticipated releases: the brand-new Kia Seltos, which is scheduled to be priced in the mid-range SUV market and has a striking exterior and revised underpinnings.
Mahindra will soon reveal its upgraded XUV 7XO, which will have new looks and more technology. Later this month, the Renault Duster will make a comeback in a new generation for enthusiasts of vintage SUVs.
In addition to these internal-combustion vehicles, Maruti Suzuki's e-Vitara, the company's first all-electric vehicle in India with two battery options and impressive range numbers, is contributing to the electrification trend.
In addition, Nissan plans to launch the Gravite, a useful sub-four-meter MPV targeted at family shoppers, and Skoda will update the Kushaq with a makeover.
