Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder beats Milestone of 1 Lakh Sales
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has proudly announced that its Urban Cruiser Hyryder compact SUV has crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone since its launch in 2022. Offering a range of powertrain options, including strong hybrid, petrol, and CNG, the Hyryder competes with popular SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor.
Priced between ₹11.14 lakh and ₹20.19 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec hybrid variant, the Hyryder stands out for its strong hybrid technology—a unique feature in the compact SUV market.
Hyryder, jointly developed by Toyota and Suzuki, shares its platform and technical features with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
The Hyryder is powered by two petrol engines:
Petrol and CNG Variants
1.5L petrol unit.
Power output: 87 bhp (CNG) - 102 bhp (petrol).
Torque: 121 Nm to 136.8 Nm.
Transmission: 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
Strong Hybrid Variant
1.5L three-cylinder petrol engine with an e-Drive transmission.
Power output: 91 bhp.
Torque: 141 Nm.
Equipped with a 177.6V battery pack.
Mileage Efficiency
Petrol Variant: Over 21 kmpl.
CNG Variant: More than 26.6 km/kg.

With 13 variants available across these trims, Toyota recently introduced a Special Edition of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. This edition is available across all petrol variants except the base E trim and is also offered for the hybrid range in G and V trims.
