Toyota Rumion all variants get a price hike with immediate effect
Toyota has hiked the prices of its existing car, which is the Rumion, a popular MPV model, by 12500 rupees on both ex-showroom and on-road in all variants. The price revision shall take immediate effect, and both versions of the car, the petrol and the CNG avatars, shall have this price revision applicable.
Its Ertiga counterpart, called the Rumion, has increased marginally in terms of price, as the ex-showroom price has reached Rs 10.66 lakh.
The Toyota Rumion exists in three main models: S, G, and V. This model comes with a 1.5-liter petrol engine coupled with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There is also a CNG variant available; the latter is available only in the entry-level S model.

Ex-showroom Price: 10.66 lakh
Top-End Price: 13.95 lakh
This hike also affects the value proposition of the MPV in the competitive MUV segment, but marginally because all the changes are uniform. However, the Rumion remains a powerful choice to customers who wish to have some space, fuel efficiency, and the reliability of Toyota.
Toyota has not provided an elaborate explanation on why it made the increment, but a combination of many factors, including increased costs of inputs, logistics, and positioning of its products in the market, often causes such reviews. It is worth noting that Rumion is not the only model that has been hit. Even Toyota has revised the prices of Taisor and Innova Hycross -possibly an indication of bringing its prices more up to date.
The latest increase makes the Toyota Rumion rise marginally in its price, but at the same time, it does not lose its functional desirability. With good interiors, toughened mileage, and trusted engineering, the Rumion is still a good MPV for the Indian families.
