Toyota Kirloskar Motor has implemented a price revision for its popular multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), the Innova Crysta, resulting in a price increase of up to Rs. 10,000 for select variants. As of now, the Innova Crysta is available at an ex-showroom price starting at Rs. 19.99 lakh, with the hike affecting the newly introduced GX Plus variant.
While the Toyota Innova Crysta is available in four variants—GX, GX Plus, VX, and ZX—it is only the GX Plus variant that has seen this recent price increment. This variant is available in both seven- and eight-seat configurations, and the increase applies to both seating options. The Rs. 10,000 hike is relatively modest, but it follows the model's continued popularity and strong market presence.
Notably, the GX Plus variant was only introduced earlier this year, offering customers a mid-range option between the base GX and higher-end VX and ZX variants. The price hike reflects Toyota’s periodic adjustments based on input costs and market positioning, although the changes do not extend to the other versions of the model.
The Toyota Innova Crysta remains a strong contender in the MPV segment, known for its durability, spacious interiors, and reliability. Post the price hike, the starting ex-showroom price for the model is still set at Rs. 19.99 lakh. Despite the increase, the GX Plus variant remains a popular choice among buyers who seek a balance between affordability and feature availability.
The Innova Crysta GX Plus offers a host of features, including premium upholstery, advanced infotainment systems, automatic climate control, and multiple airbags, all contributing to the MPV’s appeal as a family-oriented vehicle with a focus on comfort and safety.
Mechanically, the Innova Crysta is powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine that generates 148bhp and 343Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission, ensuring smooth gear shifts and consistent performance across varying road conditions. While no automatic transmission is available for this engine, the manual setup is more than adequate for most users, offering strong torque output and decent fuel efficiency.
Though the price hike is limited to the GX Plus variant, it is an indication of Toyota’s strategy to keep the Innova Crysta competitively priced while responding to market dynamics. Despite the increase, the Innova Crysta remains a go-to choice for families and fleet operators alike, delivering a robust package of reliability, comfort, and performance.
