This Maruti S-Presso Transformed Into a Mini Jimny Is the Makeover We Didn’t Know It Needed

Car modifications usually exist against the backdrop of very different models, and blending two different designs and builds may often be a losing venture, but when a mod has been finished up once in a while a blended design may yield a very good following.

One of these blended designs was a modified Maruti S-Presso by an Indonesia-based tuning house, GH Style, who gave a “Jimny” style body kit, which, based on the introduction of how we are describing the outcome of S-Presso, we were not expecting a very appealing mod from a micro SUV.

A Radical Design Shift for S-Presso

To enter the micro SUV segment, Maruti Suzuki specifically designed the S-Presso to compete against the Renault Kwid. While its unconventional design and SUV characteristic distinguishes it from competitors who produce sedans, it completely missed the target with the consumers, and sales have confirmed that ducking: in April 2025, fewer than 800 S-Pressos’ found their way out of the factory. GH Style has a solution not for the engine or chassis of the S-Presso, but for the body.

The body kit is based on the Jimny design, which smartly reimagines the exterior styling of the S-Presso. For the modified S-Presso, it starts up front with a completely revised front end with round LED projector headlights with DRLs, round indicators, and a chunky-looking off-road style bumper with fog lights. The flat quarter panels and SUZUKI lettering add to the new, rugged and aggressive feel.

Rear and side designs

A look at the rear and the side of the modified S-Presso shows differences from the current version. The side shows flared wheel arches with chunky cladding that helps give it a solid SUV-style look, and white off-road style wheels and wider tyres.

At the back, the new bumper is a follow-up to the offer of a new front end to the S-Presso, while maintaining the minimal and generic aesthetic effect it chose for the rear, and is too good a congruency too… surprising! Will Maruti ever release/produce this concept? With a decline in popularity for the A-segment, a new S-Presso might be useful to Maruti Suzuki - although an official Jimny type product is unlikely. Nonetheless, the customisation offered by GH Style shows that the micro-SUV could have potential. Bold, styled, and for many, just what the S-Presso needed to offer something different.
