The car's front grille, larger than before but not as expansive as BMW SUVs, features horizontal slats suitable for a sedan profile. Inside, the 5 Series LWB's longer wheelbase is mostly advantageous for passengers in the backseat. Large windows and a panoramic fixed-glass roof complement the ample headroom and legroom found in the rear cabin. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class and other competitors have adjustable rear seats and rear sun shades; this vehicle does not have these features.
In terms of technology, the 5 Series LWB has a front-mounted dual-curved screen arrangement that combines a 12.3-inch digital driver's display with a 14.9-inch touchscreen.
