Third-Gen Renault Duster AWD: A World Premiere

Renault will globalize its next-generation Renault Duster AWD production by constructing various car manufacturing facilities in several countries.

The carmaker took this priority, launching a four-wheel drive (4WD) variant of the Renault Duster in terms of its third generation. Besides many other advanced features, various technical changes have already occurred in the manufactured parts and units. In the forthcoming months, operational requirements will most likely be corralled.

Electrified Rear Axle and Engine Options

This includes that Renault's subsidiary, Dacia, the most notable of the new Duster AWD hybrid, is, of course, an electrified rear axle for adding that hybrid engine performance and radical efficiency.

Key powertrains of the Duster AWD are:

  • The 99bhp 1.0-litre bi-fuel three-cylinder engine.

  • The 128bhp 1.2-litre mild hybrid engine.

  • The 138bhp 1.6-litre full hybrid power unit.

There will also be an option of LPG, further diversifying the range. Electrification will occur in the seven-seater Bigster SUV, which shares the same CMF-B platform as Renault and Nissan.

Future Relations: EVs and Platform

Apart from this, a fully electric Duster will be introduced by 2030-31. The next generation will have an all-electric Duster in the future. In the meantime, future vehicles will include a CMF-B platform underpinning that which will also be a Nissan equivalent to the Duster.

India Launch: Waiting for 2026

After having postponed it to 2021, the return of the Duster to India has been further staggered to 2026. The electrical AWD is not assured to be available in India. However, its predecessor, a first-gen Duster AWD, was slung with a 1.5L engine diesel and might or might not accompany the electrified AWD variant of the new Duster to Indian shores. To subject its sales to diesel engines, Renault has announced it will mostly offer petrol or hybrid powerplants for its Indian lineup.

Keep updating on Renault's innovations and improved offerings, which have set new benchmarks in the fast-evolving global SUV market with the Duster.
