Tesla Model Y India price, colours and options revealed

Tesla has formally penetrated the Indian electric vehicle industry through opening bookings of the Model Y e-crossover, besides launching its first showroom in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.

This is accompanied by the Tesla India configurator, where the potential customer can customize his/her car to the extent of the paint finish and the driver-assistance features.

Interior Options and Choice of Colour

Tesla Model Y has six exterior colours, and only one of them, Stealth Grey, is complimentary. There are other colours, such as Pearl White Multi-coat and Diamond Black, at the price of 95000 rupees.

Customers with a penchant towards a fancier paint job are free to choose either the Glacier Blue at 1. 25 lakh or opt for a premium Quicksilver or the Ultra Red with a price tag of 1. 85 lakh.

Inside, there is a black interior as standard and the black and white dual-tone cabin can be had at an extra cost of 95000 rupees. These decisions are about global minimalism and the customisable luxury of Tesla.

Variants and Pricing

Two variants of the Model Y are available:

  • Rear-Wheel Drive – ₹59,89,000 (ex-showroom)

  • Long Range RWD – ₹67,89,000 (ex-showroom)

Tesla has a state-wise on-road pricing announced on its web portal and ordering it is also a simple process, where one has to pay a non-refundable deposit of 22, 220 within minutes and 3 lakh within a period of seven days. One can do presentations using a card or UPI.

Self-Driving Technology & Autopilot

One single optional feature Tesla has is its Full Self-Driving package which is also priced at 6 lakh in rupees. Although this suite provides a self-driving option, Tesla makes it clear that the driver is still supposed to oversee the operation, and that the full service will not be enabled in this country until regulatory authorities approve software updates.

The launch in India is a combination of the style, design, premium EVs with a distinctive reservation system at Tesla. Model Y in the country would mark a new era in the automotive industry with interiors, automation, and colour choices.
