Bookings for the brand-new Tata Sierra have increased quickly.
For many customers, the waiting period can now reach three or four months.
Since its late 2025 relaunch in India, the all-new Tata Sierra has attracted a lot of attention. The SUV has over 70,000 confirmed reservations in the first day after reservations began in December, demonstrating the high demand for this mid-size SUV.
Exceptional demand is demonstrated by the fact that, in addition to those confirmed reservations, over 1.35 lakh clients have already chosen their desired configurations and are completing the purchasing process.
This positive reaction highlights Tata Motors' ability to appeal to drivers' modern tastes while evoking pleasant memories of the Sierra marque.
Due to the large number of reservations, delivery times have inevitably increased. According to dealer feedback and industry reports, several Tata Sierra versions have a waiting period of three to four months from the date of booking to delivery.
This wait time is influenced by multiple things. Compared to petrol-powered models, diesel-powered models are particularly well-liked and typically have longer lines. When compared to manual gearboxes, automatic transmissions also result in delivery delays of two to four weeks. Wait times are the longest for popular colour selections and high-end trimmings, like the Munnar Mist.
Despite the wait, a lot of buyers think the Sierra is a good purchase because of its unique combination of performance, tradition, and contemporary features. For now, eager customers may expect a lengthier voyage before they can drive home their new Sierra, though waiting times may lessen as production ramps up.
