Tata Punch Sold the Most Units in March 2024: Let’s Take a Look at Other Car Sales

In March 2024, the Tata Punch made history by becoming India’s top-selling car for the first time ever. Following closely behind was the Hyundai Creta, surpassing Maruti models like the Wagon R, Dzire, and Swift. Every year companies have neck-to-neck competition for the most amount of sales. Buyers from all across the country choose their best car by analyzing various factors like performance, design, and affordability. Let’s dive into the performance of each model among the top 15 best-selling cars in March 2024.

Tata Punch: The car is topping the charts with over 17,500 units sold. The Tata Punch marked a significant 61% growth in YoY sales, though monthly sales decreased compared to February.

Hyundai Creta: Securing the second spot with nearly 16,500 units sold, the Creta showed positive growth both MoM and YoY.

Maruti Wagon R: Taking third place in overall ranking, the Wagon R sold over 16,000 units. The sales saw a 16% MoM decline but maintained consistency YoY.

Maruti Dzire: Maintaining steady demand, the Dzire sold close to 15,900 units. It showcased a total of 19% growth in YoY sales.

Maruti Swift: With over 15,700 units sold, the Swift saw a 19% MoM increase. However, the model saw an overall 10% YoY reduction.

Maruti Baleno: The Baleno sold nearly 15,600 units. However, the model experienced losses in both MoM and YoY sales.

Mahindra Scorpio: Crossing 15,000 units in sales, the Scorpio demonstrated a remarkable 72% rise in YoY sales.

Maruti Ertiga: With over 14,800 units sold, the Ertiga exhibited an increase in YoY sales.

Maruti Brezza: Despite a 7% MoM decline, the Brezza sales surpassed its rival, the Tata Nexon.

Maruti Fronx: Fronx experienced a decline of a total of 12% MoM. However, it still managed to sell t more than 12,500 units.

Maruti Eeco: Selling over 12,000 units, the Eeco delivered a consistent performance.

Maruti Grand Vitara: Crossing 11,000 units, the Grand Vitara maintained stable monthly and yearly sales.

Mahindra Bolero: Attracting over 10,000 buyers, the Bolero enjoyed an 8% YoY sales increase.

Toyota Innova Crysta: The MPV found 9,900 buyers, with a noticeable 17% MoM and 23% YoY sales growth.
